| By Mary Page Bailey

WorleyParsons Ltd. (North Sydney, Australia; www.worleyparsons.com) has signed a general agreement with ASD Global for the use of OptiPlant Pipe Router and Pipe Support Optimizer for all of its projects worldwide. In order to increase engineering efficiency for pre-FEED and FEED projects, WorleyParsons will deploy OptiPlant to digitize, visualize, analyze, and optimize plants. As the designs and models from OptiPlant can be reused for other projects and in detailed design, the potential savings to the overall project is substantial.

"ASD Global will be working with some major offices to implement and rollout OptiPlant on Select and Define projects that can start to address some of the Industry challenges faced by our Customers with regards to schedule, change management, quality and predictability of outcome,” said Martin Brooks, WorleyParsons group director of Engineering. Manu Chatterjee, ASD Global chairman and founder, said, “ASD and WorleyParsons are developing a mutually beneficial relationship, and we are proud to be their partner in increasing optimization, productivity, and better designs for all front-end projects.”
