WorleyParsons Ltd. (North Sydney, Australia; www.worleyparsons.com) has been awarded an Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT) contract by LyondellBasell (Rotterdam, the Netherlands; www.lyondellbasell.com), one of the world’s largest plastics, chemical and refining companies. LyondellBasell proposes to build a propylene oxide and tertiary butyl alcohol (PO/TBA) plant to be located in Channelview and Pasadena, Tex. The PO/TBA project is the largest single capital development project planned by LyondellBasell. Annual production capacities are anticipated to be 1-billion lbs/year of PO and 2-billion lbs/year of TBA.
WorleyParsons will be working closely with LyondellBasell as an Integrated Project Team, to assist LyondellBasell in managing the recently commenced Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), project execution and site construction.
