Two new sealless pumps for handling hazardous chemicals

| By Chemical Engineering

Designed for general industrial applications, the new SLC4 (photo) and SLC8 models of the Seal-Less Drive Eccentric Disc Pumps line also handle numerous chemicals, such as isocyanates, polyols, additives, solvents, starches and glues, inks and resins, methacrylates and detergents. The pumps feature a double-wall bellows, along with monitoring that is done by pressure switching. By mounting the pressure switch on the bellows flange, the bellows becomes an independent sub-assembly within the pump, making for safe and easier operation, says the company. The pumps handle pressures up to 10 bars (SLC4) and 6 bars (SLC8), with flowrates of 75 L/min (SLC4) and 133 L/min (SLC8). — Mouvex, Auxerre, France
