A wholly owned subsidiary of Toyo Engineering Corp. (Tokyo) in China has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to construct a polyacetal (POM) plant in Nantong, China from a newly established Chinese subsidiary of Polyplastics Co., Ltd. The plant will produce 90,000 metric tons per year (m.t./yr) of POM. Completion of the plant is scheduled for 2024.
