This metal analyzer now performs more measurements than alternatives

| By Chemical Engineering

The newest generation of SpectroTest mobile metal analyzers is equipped with an efficient plasma generator and a newly designed ultraviolet probe. The analyzers also feature, and the field-proven Intelligent Calibration Logic (Ical) system, which monitors the correct state of the measuring system independently from external influences. The instrument’s plasma generator requires less energy, making it possible to perform hundreds of measurements with a single battery charge, says the company. This allows twice the number of samples in arc-excitation mode, and nearly four times the number of samples in spark-excitation mode during battery operation. The new pluggable probe with integrated UV optic enables special measurement applications, and it can be used for both spark and arc excitation without having to change probes. — Spectro Analytical Instruments GmbH, Kleve, Germany
