These stainless-steel boilers are ideal for clean steam applications

| By Chemical Engineering

These stainless-steel electric steam boilers are suitable for ultra-pure applications, including: autoclaves, cosmetics, medical research, pharmaceutical, pure humidifier and sterilization. Electric stainless-steel boilers are ideal for clean steam in that they can be located near the process, thereby reducing contamination introduced by steam piping. The saturated steam from the boilers can be controlled as to pressure, which will vary the temperature and energy transfer of the steam. The unit offers 1.5–120 kW power to match the needs of any pure steam application. Multiple boilers can be stacked for larger applications. A 304-stainless-steel pressure vessel is standard, with 316 stainless steel available. Passivation of the pressure vessel and heating elements is also standard. The boiler is designed and constructed to Section I, Parts PMB & PEB of the ASME Boiler Code. — Reimers Electra Steam, Clear Brook, Va.
