These electromechanical pumps transfer high viscosity materials

| By Kate Torzewski

Electromechanical (EM) pumps are widely used in wastewater and sewage treatment, chemical and ceramic industries, mining, power plants, marine and offshore applications. With RAN EM diaphragm pumps, capacities up to 30 m³/h can be transferred. Body material options are aluminum, AISI 304 stainless steel, cast iron and polypropylene. Explosion-proof motors are also available. Although the initial pump price of an EM pump is higher than that of an air-operated diaphragm pump, EM pumps have higher energy efficiency, making their life-cycle cost lower. RAN EM series pumps are sealless, self priming, dry-running, low shear and have versatile fluid handling capability. Hall: 9.1, Stand A20–A21 — Gisan Makine San. Tic. Ltd. Sti., Istanbul, Turkey
