Spirax Sarco announces a steam trap for high-pressure lines

| By Dorothy Lozowski

Spirax Sarco Inc., (Blythewood, S.C.; www.spirax.com) has released the TD120M Thermo-dynamic steam trap, which is engineered for pressure ratings of up to 3,190 psig. With its maintainable disc and seat, this steam trap can be serviced in-line — a benefit to users with welded installations. The TD120M includes an integral, sintered-stainless-steel strainer, a replaceable hardened seat and disc for ease of maintenance, and a distinct on-off cycle that makes it easy to test with many steam-trap-testing devices. The trap does not need a water seal to operate, making it ideal for superheat applications. Every trap is 100% air tested, hydraulic tested and steam tested at the factory to guarantee performance. The standard device includes an alloy-steel body and cover construction; chromium-steel seat and disc; and is available in sizes of  1/2 in. (15mm), 3/4 in. (20mm) and 1 in. (25mm).  Standard socket-weld options include butt weld and flanged ANSI1500.
