A sound way to measure sulfuric acid concentrations

| By Chemical Engineering

3Measuring the concentration of sulfuric acid and oleum is an important process parameter to ensure safety, product quality and production efficiency. LiquiSonic analyzers (photo) are used for high-precision concentration measurement in production of sulfuric acid, oleum and fertilizers, synthesis gas drying, ore processing in mining or etching and pickling baths. Sonic velocity, as a physical value, offers high measuring accuracy of±0.03 wt.%, low maintenance and extremely robustness. The sensors can be integrated directly into pipes or containers without bypass. The measurement results are stable, updated every second and provided online to the process control system. — SensoTech GmbH, Magdeburg-Barleben, Germany
