Pressure relief for every application

Rembe

Rembe

For over 40 years, this company has been manufacturing rupture discs, ranging from the standard product all the way up to products for special applications, including space satellites and deep-sea equipment. At Valve World, the company is focusing on the KUB and IKB rupture discs, as well as special rupture discs (photo). The custom-made rupture discs are also installed in small nominal pipe sizes in combination with very high pressures and leak-tightness (UKB-LS and plugs); and high-pressure applications with high temperatures (HPRD) and in extruders. For more than 25 years, the KUB has been one of the company’s top sellers, and is referred to as the “most rugged rupture disc currently available,” says the company. The geometry of the breaking points — the so-called buckling pins — allows an operating pressure ratio of up to 98%. Metal-on-metal seats are used to ensure leak-tightness, and the rupture disc can be removed, inspected and reinstalled. Special types of the KUB are also offered for hygienic processes, for the protection of safety valves and the direct installation between flanges.
