Aflex Hose
Bioflex Ultra (photo) is a flexible polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) hose for use in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The hose’s patented PTFE liner design provides a smooth bore for clean, non-turbulent flow, and a convoluted outer structure provides flexibility and kink resistance. The redesigned convolution profile of the Bioflex Ultra’s liner tube introduces a high-tensile, stainless-steel wire that is helically wound into the root of the convolutions. This wire provides greatly increased kink resistance by providing radial reinforcement to the tube, and axial reinforcement to the web section, preventing web-section collapse when the tube is heavily flexed.
