A new positioner with two-wire technology

With the 1441 cPos-X electro-pneumatic positioner (photo), this company is expanding its range of positioners and process controllers by adding a controller with two-wire technology for the first time. This offers advantages when it comes to explosion protection and simplified wiring. Since the field device is supplied via the signal source and, as a result, no additional power supply is required, the positioner can be used directly in potentially explosive areas due to the limited energy. The 1441 cPos-X is operated with a 4–20-mA power supply line (protected against overload) and has the intrinsic-safety explosion type of ignition protection. A passive analog 4–20-mA feedback signal and digital input and output signals are available. For parameterization and calling up process data, the positioner is available with a HART communication module as an option. Hall C2, Stand 226 — GEMÜ, Gebr. Müller Apparatebau GmbH & Co.
