The Large Volume Processor (photo) consists of horizontally arranged, heated reactors with either co- or counter-rotating shafts that provide intensive mixing and kneading for effective polymerization and devolatilization of products with viscosities up to 15,000 Pa.s. These highly versatile processors are characterized by large process volumes and self-cleaning. They allow for the efficient treatment of difficult-to-handle products or materials undergoing phase changes.
