Seppic is opening a new laboratory dedicated to fermentation biotechnologies at the Air Liquide Group’s Innovation Campus Delaware.
Fermentation is a process historically used to produce and preserve food. Applied to the cosmetics and health markets, this technology enables the production of biobased ingredients with limited impact on the environment and biodiversity, while minimizing impact on land use.
To accelerate the development of fermentation research in these fields, Seppic has opened a dedicated laboratory with new equipment and extensive know-how at the Air Liquide Group’s Innovation Campus Delaware in the United States. The aim of this laboratory will be to develop new ingredients that combine efficacy with a response to societal challenges in the cosmetics and health fields, in line with the company’s approach to committed innovation.
This choice of location at the Innovation Campus Delaware, where Seppic’s American Customer Technical Service Center has been based since 2007, will enable Seppic to benefit from strong synergies with Air Liquide Group R&D activities on the Campus, as well as with the dynamic American Research ecosystem in the field of biotechnologies. This opening in the USA is a significant step in the internationalization strategy of Seppic’s Research & Innovation.
