The heavy-duty LDI-127 Series Linear Variable Inductive Transducer (LVIT; photo) is a contactless position sensor that is designed for a wide array of in-plant applications, as well as industrial testing, laboratory and OEM applications. It has a compact, anodized aluminum housing (27-mm dia.; 1.05-in. dia.) that is sealed according to IP67 requirements. The LDI-127 sensors are offered in five full scale ranges, from 25 to 200 mm (1 to 8 in.). Operating from a variety of d.c. voltages, these sensors offer a choice of outputs. They include a field-programmable calibration feature, and operate reliably in temperatures from –20 to 85°C (–4 to 185°F). — Omega, Stamford, Conn.
