Portable Detectors with a Calibration Dock

| By Chemical Engineering

Three new products have been added to the X Series of portable gas detection instruments: the X5 model five-gas detector, the XD model single-gas detector and the MicroDock II test/calibration docking system (photo). As its name would imply, the X5 is capable of monitoring up to five gases simultaneously, including volatile organic compounds (VOCs), H 2 S, CO, O 2, SO 2, PH 3, NH 3, NO 2, HCN, Cl 2, ClO 2, O 3, CO 2 and combustibles. Its range of measurment for VOCs is 0 – 1,000 ppm; and it features an optional integral pump for remote sampling. The XD detects one gas at a time selected by the user from a range of toxic gases — from CO (over a 0 – 1,000-ppm range) to PH 3 (over a 0 – 5.0-ppm range). Compatible with both of these new monitors, the MicroDock II boasts "one touch" calibration, bump testing and data transfer. — Honeywell Analytics, Inc., Lincolnshire, Ill.
