NIR integrated with Allen Bradley systems

| By Chemical Engineering

The DA 7300 Inline NIR (near infrared) analyzer has been upgraded and can now be seamlessly integrated into industrial environments using OPC and RS-Linx. The instrument has already been integrated with Siemens S7, using built-in OPC server; with Schneider Electric systems, through a direct connection to the built-in SQL database; and with other systems using dedicated protocols or 4–20 mA signals. Now the instrument can be connected through RS-Linx in plants using Allen-Bradley technology. The integration is a two-way communication, where measured values, messages and camera images are transferred from the instrument to the system and commands are sent to the instrument. — Perten Instruments, Stockholm, Sweden
