Myriant names new CEO

The board of directors of Myriant Corp. (Quincy, Mass.; www.myriant.com) an affiliate of PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (PTTGC), announced that Cenan Ozmeral will retire as Myriant’s president and chief executive officer. Dr. Ozmeral will continue to serve as a special advisor to the board and management providing his insights and industry expertise. Dennis McCullough, currently vice president, International Business Operations at PTTGC has been appointed Myriant’s president and chief executive officer and will immediately assume leadership and continue operations at Myriant.

McCullough joins Myriant following his 25-year career as a senior executive with an extensive background in the chemical, plastics and polymer industries. Most recently at PTTGC, McCullough served as vice president, International Business Operations. Prior to this, McCullough has held a variety of executive positions during his 23-year career at Bayer and Bayer Material Science, and he also has served as vice president, South East Asia at Synthomer. McCullough earned an MBA from The Eli Broad Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University, and a Ph.D. and a B.S. in chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh.
