Monitor reactions in the laboratory and production with this IR device

| By Chemical Engineering

Next-generation ReactIR 45P technology allows reaction scaleup to be studied under actual process conditions. Designed to operate in the laboratory as well as in classified areas, ReactIR 45P uses in situ monitoring to study the formation and consumption of starting materials, intermediates and other species in a chemical reaction. Because of its size and instrumentation, the same device can be used as the process is scaled up, thereby eliminating the difficulty of transferring calibration data between analyzers. The analyzer uses sampling technology proven for monitoring reactions (including hydrogenations, Grignard reactions, lithialations, halogenations and acid-chloride reactions), and iC Series software turns reaction data into chemical information for rapid analysis. — Mettler-Toledo Greifensee, Switzerland
