Mixing and separation equipment providers merge to form B&P Littleford LLC

| By Mary Bailey

Effective Jan. 1, 2017, B&P Process Equipment and Systems LLC and B&P Littleford Day LLC, both producers of industrial-grade equipment for mixing and separation, merged to form B&P Littleford LLC (Saginaw, Mich.; www.bplittleford.com). The new company offers a wide range of specialized machinery used worldwide in the chemical, pharmaceutical, aluminum, energetics and plastics industries.

B&P Littleford is headquartered in Saginaw, Mich. – also the location of B&P’s newly renovated Technical Center that offers equipment testing and R&D. The company’s other facilities are located in Fort Mitchell, Ky., and Houston, Tex.

With the combined assets, B&P Littleford will produce systems for batch and continuous mixing that include plow mixers, double arm mixers, extruders, co-kneaders and centrifuges, as well as related equipment for drying and reacting. Well-known trademarks of the company include Baker Perkins and Littleford Day, which date back to the early 1900s. The company also offers extensive maintenance and repair services.

“This merger began with B&P’s purchase of Littleford Day’s assets in 2015, and we’re excited to see it come to fruition in the new year,” said Laurence Slovin, who currently serves as president and CEO of both merging companies and will hold the same role for B&P Littleford. “Together we will offer the most mixing solutions of any company. Our customers will benefit from extraordinary levels of equipment diversity, technical and industry expertise, and reliability – all of this with the convenience of working with one manufacturer.”
