Mix extreme-viscosity fluids with this mixer

| By Chemical Engineering

The KMX-V Static Mixer is designed to generate superior mixing per unit length for laminar-flow and high- and low-viscosity applications. For extreme-viscosity fluids and extreme volume ratios, the most common limiting factor in static mixer design is allowable length, this manufacturer says. The KMX-V mixer utilizes cross-stream mixing and flow-splitting to achieve rapid blending. Each of its mixing elements is about one pipe-diameter in length, and consists of multiple intersecting blades, which generate fluid layers as the mixture flows downstream. Key features of the KMX-V include superior mixing performance per unit length, proprietary V-shaped blades, standard diameters up to 24 in. and others. — Chemineer Inc., Dayton, Ohio
