The Liquiphant M density meter (photo) provides direct, online measurement of density and concentration, thus eliminating the need for offline laboratory instruments. The online measurements allow control systems to react more rapidly to changing process conditions. Equipped with a mechanically oscillating fork that is excited to its resonant frequency, the Liquiphant M is immersed in process liquid, which changes its frequency. Those changes are related to the density of the medium.
