Carbo 520 Optical is a new process CO2 sensor that can easily be installed directly inline on beverage production lines. The hygienic sensor is said to be entirely maintenance-free, and provides linear, drift-free CO2readings over the entire measurement range (0–12 g/L). The sensor is based on attenuated total reflection (ATR) spectroscopy, so there are no moving or mechanical parts. Different versions of the sensor are available: it can be combined with an mPDS 5 evaluation unit, an operating terminal or a remote terminal located up to 250 m away from the sensor. — Anton Paar GmbH, Graz, Austria
