MBCC Group (Mannheim, Germany) announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Fabpro Polymers, a leading developer and manufacturer of synthetic polypropylene (PP) fibers for reinforced concrete and other applications in North America. The transaction was closed simultaneously with the signing. The parties agreed to keep the financial details of the transaction confidential.
Founded in Kingman, Kansas, USA in 1975, Fabpro Polymers started its ascent to excellence pioneering wire replacement twine for the agricultural industry, establishing itself as an industry leader in polymer twine in the United States. Continuing to grow organically, Fabpro Polymers expanded its capabilities to become the world leader in concrete reinforcing fiber production and other industrial products. It maintains a leadership position in North America for polypropylene concrete fiber production and manufactures for many large and well-known admixture and fiber companies.
