Maire Tecnimont awarded engineering contracts in Mexico and Russia

Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. (Milan, Italy) announces that its subsidiary KT – Kinetics Technology S.p.A. has been awarded an EP contract by a global engineering and construction company, consisting in the detailed engineering, procurement and delivery of three large-scale Delayed Coker Furnaces, to be installed in a new oil refinery in Mexico. The three massive coking furnaces will be delivered fully modularized and ready for site installation, and, once completed, will represent one of the world’s largest delayed coking units.

With this new achievement, KT strengthens its track record in refining and confirms its capabilities in supplying highly complex equipment, through the implementation of state-of-the-art technologies and modularization methodologies.

 Maire Tecnimont also announced that its subsidiary Tecnimont S.p.A., as majority leader of the Consortium including MT Russia LLC, Sinopec Engineering Group Co, working on the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Contract for the Amur Gas Processing Plant – UI&O, has signed an agreement with the client JSC NIPIgazperabotka stipulating an additional value for the acceleration of the work necessary to reduce the impacts generated by COVID-19 pandemic. The additional compensation is worth approximately €500 million, representing 12.8% of the overall value of the original contract communicated to the market. The Amur Gas Processing Plant – UI&O, a project which Maire Tecnimont Group is currently executing in Svobodny city – located  in the Amur region in the Far East of the Russian Federation, close to the border with China – is at an advanced construction and pre-commissioning phase, and the first commissioning activities have been started.
