Lurgi signs a worldwide contract with Intergraph

| By Kinga Szalecki

Lurgi GmbH (Frankfurt, Germany; www.lurgi.com) has signed a global agreement for the use of Intergraph SmartPlant Enterprise software and has joined the worldwide Software License Agreement (SLA) of it’s parent company Air Liquide (www.airliquide.com). Lurgi is a global company that specializes in the fields of process engineering and plant contracting; specifically gas-to-petrochemical products, petrochemicals, polymer and refinery technology. The contract, which will span over two years, was signed in an attempt to integrate company information, engineering software and commonly used applications.

Lurgi will introduce the SmartPlant Enterprise solutions suite in two phases. The first phase will include all SmartPlant products for front-end engineering and design (FEED) as well as the implementation of Intergraph’s information-management solution, SmartPlant Foundation. SmartPlant Foundation will provide all Lurgi companies access to common information and integrate all applications. In the second phase, Lurgi will migrate from Intergraph PDS to SmartPlant 3D, which will provide a plant-based software environment designed for engineers.
