Linde to supply specialty gases to two Thai petrochemical producers

| By Scott Jenkins

Linde Gases (Munich, Germany; www.linde.com) today announced agreements with two large Thai petrochemical companies to supply high-purity gases for product development and process control.

The first agreement, with the Thai state-owned PTT Group (Bangkok, Thailand; www.pttplc.com), is being touted as the largest specialty gas contract in Thailand. PTT will use Linde gases for research and product development at its central laboratory in Map Ta Phut, Thailand. PTT Group was formerly known as the Petroleum Authority of Thailand.

Linde inked a second agreement with Map Ta Phut Olefins Co. (a subsidiary of Rayong Olefins Co. of Bang Su, Thailand). Specialty products from Linde will be used as calibration gases to support Rayong’s new integrated olefins and polyolefins production plant, also located in Map Ta Phut.
