Linde sells refrigerants business in Austria to TEGA

| By Mary Bailey

TEGA GmbH (Würzburg, Germany) has announced the acquisition of Linde plc’s Austrian refrigerant business. Thanks to the many years that TEGA has acted as Linde Austria’s reliable refrigerants supplier, critical stock and supply capacities are already in place for the smooth transition of serving refrigerant customers in Austria directly. TEGA’s local subsidiary, TEGA Austria GmbH, is based in Enns (near to Linz) and includes a sales office and local warehouse.

By taking this step in towards direct refrigerant business in Austria TEGA aims to build an even closer collaboration with Austrian customers. In times of quota reduction and required replacement of high-GWP refrigerants by more climate-friendly refrigerant alternatives, TEGA is already working in other European countries for early indications and forecasts from customers about their specific demands and now is looking forward to establish this close collaboration with customers also in Austria. It will as well include regular updates from TEGA to Austrian customers on critical developments affecting the refrigerant market such as news from the regulatory environment.

TEGA’s diverse product portfolio covers all types of refrigerants commonly used in Europe.  Beyond non-flammable refrigerant types (HFCs), TEGA offers a wide range of flammable refrigerants from the most recent generation in the sector (HFO’s and HFO-blends).
