Less Headroom Required for this Vertical Dryer

| By Chemical Engineering

The AVA Vertical dryer is a combination of a centrifuge with a helical dryer on a lifting column. The system requires lower ceiling heights than a fixed installation of the two components, and can be installed in existing production halls without opening the ceiling. The dryer is locked onto a peeling centrifuge and filled over several peeling cycles. For drying, the connection to the centrifuge is unlocked and the dryer is lowered and swiveled out of the centrifuge area. For its discharge, the dryer is lifted on the column to allow the placement and connection of drums or other containers. The use of split butterfly valves for charging and discharging permits the handling of Class 3 products without the need for worker’s protective clothing. — Hall 9, Booth 310 — AVA-Huep GmbH & Co.
