Khafji is in the Neutral Zone between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. JCG Gulf will perform engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and pre-commissioning work for new water-treatment facilities for treating produced water (170,000 bbl/d), new water injection facilities and utilities associated with KJO’s crude processing facilities. The contract is valued at more than $150 million under a lump-sum turnkey scheme. The project is scheduled for completion in 2013.
