Inhibit corrosion with this new vinyl-ester-resin system

| By Chemical Engineering

Flowchem cloudFlowchem is a new range of seamless, elastomer-modified vinyl-ester-resin systems that act as a barrier to inhibit the contact between chemical compounds or corrosive materials. Flowchem systems provide temperature resistance of up to 350°F, and exhibit high bond strength, abrasion resistance and durability, as well as reduced shrinkage, says the company. Vinyl ester resin — a hybrid of polyester resin strengthened by the addition of epoxy resin — offers protection against highly concentrated and aggressive acids, alkalis and solvents, including sulfuric, nitric and hydrochloric acid, as well as ethanol, butane and methanol. All systems within the Flowchem range offer fast cure properties to minimize downtime and any loss to production. — Flowcrete Americas, Spring, Tex.
