IChemE Safety Centre names EnVizTec as first industry partner

| By Mary Page Bailey

The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE; Rugby, U.K.; www.icheme.org) Safety Centre (ISC) has signed up EnVizTec as its first industry partner, following the launch of the new member category last month.

Based in Australia, EnVizTec (www.enviztec.com.au) specializes in helping organizations improve both their sustainability and safety performance, and works with companies from the oil and gas, mining, utility and process industries.

ISC director Trish Kerin says that the newly-introduced Industry Partner category was created specifically for consultants, contractors and equipment suppliers, making EnVizTec’s business “a perfect fit.”
She explains that the category provides an opportunity for businesses who don’t meet the criteria to be an Operating Partner, but which nonetheless play an important role in the process safety industry, to work with the ISC,” she says.

EnVizTec managing director Rajendra Avargerimath says that he is delighted to be part of the ISC initiative and is looking forward to collaborating with the network of ISC partners to promote process safety.

“We share the aims of the safety centre and look forward to making a positive contribution to upcoming important research projects,” he adds.
