Norplast PUR 387 hoses (figure) provide good abrasion resistance, making them well-suited to handle high flowrates of extremely abrasive solids, such as sand gravel, grain, refuse glass and chips. The abrasion resistance of this hose is 2.5 to 5 times higher than comparably sized hoses of most rubber materials, and is about 3 to 4 times higher than those constructed from most soft polyvinylchlorides (PVC), says the company. The smooth interior helps to optimize flow.
