This industrial wax for packaging adhesives has a low carbon footprint

SASOLWAX LC100 is an industrial wax grade with a 35% lower carbon footprint than conventional waxes designed for use in packaging adhesives. This wax grades offers a drop-in alternative to the benchmark grades, enabling customers to significantly reduce Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions without compromising on performance, the company says. In the packaging and adhesives market, where hot melt adhesives (HMA) are prevalent, the SASOLWAX LC100 grade provides the same properties and performance benefits as Sasol’s industry standard SASOLWAX H1. These properties include enabling odorless, clear HMA formulations in combination with metallocene polymers, through low viscosity, high crystallinity and stability, and smoother, thinner adhesive application, resulting is less adhesive per closure. It also offers fast set times and improved durability and stability. — Sasol Chemicals, Johannesburg, South Africa
