The new Model VMF-90A Volumetric Screw Feeder (photo) is designed for automated additive dosing in water- and chemical-treatment processes. The new feeder retains the functionality and user-friendly features of the popular VMF-28 feeder, but has been re-engineered for cost savings and versatility. Many features are available as optional add-ons, allowing the user to customize the desired functionality and application-specific flexibility while controlling costs. This feeder is relatively compact, allowing it to fit in confined spaces, enabling it to be integrated into existing feeder systems with relatively little modification. It uses gravimetric feeding enhanced with a built-in mechanical cam-actuated hopper agitator that conditions the material to promote uniform flow.
