Extended service life with this tubing

| By Chemical Engineering

A new tubing solution for use in chemical dispensing applications is now available in Europe. The Tygon 2375 Ultra Chemical Resistant Tubing replaces the widely used Tygon 2075 line, providing an improved pressure rating, “outstanding” chemical resistance and “superior” flexibility, says the manufacturer. A clear, non-DEHP (bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate) high-purity tube, Tygon 2375 can be disposed of safely at the end of its operational life without harming the environment. Tygon 2375 is able to withstand concentrated chemicals over extended periods of time, and is virtually unaffected by acids, bases, ketones, salts and alcohols. It will not embrittle or crack prematurely, and also improves pressure ratings by between 30 and 50% compared to Tygon 2075. — Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics, Akron, Ohio
