The Russell Compact Sieve is said to offer considerable benefits over conventional spring-mounted systems. In addition to quieter operation [typically less than 70 dB(A)], the screener is able to transmit significantly more vibration to the mesh screen surface. This, combined with the straight-through design, allows for higher flowrates and improved product separation, says the company. The screeners are available in five different sizes, ranging from a 10-in. laboratory unit to a 60-in. production-scale unit. All sizes are now available in stainless steel. This provides increased durability within corrosive environments as well as providing the option for brush- or mirror-polished finishes for food and pharmaceutical applications. — Russell Finex N.V., Mechelen, Belgium
