During this time of cutbacks, Endress+Hauser (Reinach, Switzerland; www.us.endress.com) showed its confidence in the American market by inaugurating a new multi-million dollar production facility for flowmeters at its Greenwood, Indiana site. The more than $18-million investment brings a facility dedicated to manufacturing and calibrating electromagnetic flowmeters for line sizes up to 48 inches. The new facility houses the largest calibration rig in the U.S. for electromagnetic flowmeters as well as the most accurate calibration laboratory for Coriolis meters, according to the company. “No manufacturer can calibrate Coriolis meters more accurately than Endress+Hauser, our new calibration facility sets standards worldwide,” says Hans-Peter Blaser, general manager of Endress+Hauser Flowtec’s U.S. Division.
