The preliminary value for the CE Plant Cost Index (CEPCI) for February 2025 (most recent available) fell by a small margin compared to the previous month’s value. The final value for January 2025 was downwardly revised, partially because of some newly published data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The small decline for the February CEPCI was a result of small decreases in the Equipment, Construction Labor and Engineering & Supervision subindices, which offset an increase in the Buildings subindex. The current CEPCI value now sits at 1.7% lower than the corresponding value from February 2024. Meanwhile, the Current Business Indicators show a small increase in the CPI output index for February.
