Continuous measuring system for pure water streams

| By Mary Page Bailey

QuickTOCuv (photo) is a measuring device for continuous online determination of total carbon (TC), total organic carbon (TOC), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) and chemical oxygen demand (COD) in pure water, such as condensate return and boiler feedwater. It is also used to detect product spills and leakages and is used for process control and optimization. The TOC analyzer oxidizes carbon compounds using UV light and the digestion reagent (sodium persulfate). The generated CO 2 is then measured by a NDIR (non-dispersive infrared) detector. The devices comes with certified housing for EX zones, as well as options for ATEX, IECEx and more. The device requires little routine maintenance and is equipped with an auto-calibration function. — LAR Process Analysers AG, Berlin, Germany
