Consider the advantages of electrochemical O2 analysis

| By Chemical Engineering

Realtime monitoring of the oxygen concentration in waste gas plays a key role in explosion prevention. Using amphoteric O2 electrodes, there is no need for complex and costly sample handling methods. In contrast to these alternative analytical methods, this firm’s solution with InPro 6800Gas electrodes (photo) does not require any sample conditioning, despite a process temperature of up to 60°C and pressures down to – 100 mbar. Calibration of the electrodes is carried out using normal air and is completed in minutes. With all components being certified for use in hazardous areas, the system is compact and allows for field mounting. — Mettler-Toledo AG, Urdorf, Switzerland
