Competitiveness in the modern commercial environment increasingly depends on leveraging digitalization technologies and approaches, including advanced data analytics, artificial intelligence, sensor and device connectivity, edge- and cloud-computing strategies, augmented reality, and others. Focused on the chemical process industries (CPI) and power-generation industries, the Connected Plant Conference (CPC; www.connectedplantconference.com) is designed to bring together those driving and supporting the digital transformation within their companies to share ideas, insights and guidance surrounding those technologies and approaches.
This year’s event, to be held June 25-27 in New Orleans, La., offers both a full conference program of presentations involving real-world examples of digitalization technology deployments, as well as full access to the Digital Arena, where vendors will be on hand to share the latest offerings in digitalization software and products.
The event’s opening day features a set of talks from experienced digitalization end users on how to avoid common pitfalls, as well as a keynote address focusing on the use of artificial intelligence to unlock the value of information at specialty chemical manufacturer Albemarle Corp.
On the second day of CPC, attendees can look forward to presentations from Google and others explaining the current and future potential of quantum computing on process operations, as well as sessions on digital twin technology, and the use of AI in real-world projects.
The final day of CPC features a session on developments in technology architecture that enable interoperability, and a session on worker-focused digitalization tools. In addition, CPC presenters will address remote monitoring and effective data management.
Throughout the CPC event, attendees will also be able to take advantage of a series of networking events that foster informal conversations while enjoying the unique tastes of New Orleans. Networking events include a bourbon-tasting reception to celebrate “Game Changers Award” winners, a Mardi Gras Masquerade party in the Digital arena, a coffee break with beignets, and much more.
We hope to see you in New Orleans this June!
