The Italian firm Comber S.r.l (Colzate, Italy; www.comber.it), maker of batch equipment for solid-liquid separation and vacuum drying, is now a part of the Heinkel Group (www.heinkel-group.com; Hamburg, Germany). Effective in December 2010, Comber will operate as Comber Process Technology S.r.l.
Commercial operations have resumed in Comber’s workshop and technical offices in Colzate. The Comber USA office will be consolidated with the Heinkel USA office in Swedesboro, New Jersey.
Heinkel says products under its own brands will be compatible with Comber brands and products, including Nutsche filter-dryers, horizontal paddle and vertical pan dryers.
