| By Mary Page Bailey

CB&I (The Woodlands, Rex.; www.cbi.com) has announced that it has been awarded a contract valued in excess of $40 million by Coffeyville Resources Refining & Marketing LLC. The project scope includes the engineering, procurement, fabrication and field construction of a 22-million ft3/d hydrogen plant at its refinery in Coffeyville, Kansas.

"This plant will supply high-purity hydrogen for the refinery’s hydroprocessing needs," said Daniel McCarthy, president of CB&I’s Technology operating group. "The plant will utilize our proprietary Hyforming box furnace technology for steam-methane reforming, which provides superior process performance and reliable operation. CB&I’s expertise in modular fabrication and supply will help us meet the deadline for this project."
