Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises, Inc. announced today that its subsidiary, The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W; Charlotte, N.C.; www.babcock.com), has been awarded a contract to supply and install a replacement boiler for ArcelorMittal Dofasco’s Hamilton, Ontario, steel manufacturing plant.
B&W will supply a TSSG boiler capable of providing 450,000 lb/h of steam for generating 20 MW of electricity. The efficient and cost-effective modularized boiler will operate on a combination of coke-oven and blast-furnace gases.

B&W’s full scope of supply also includes burners, furnace, steam drum, economizer, ducting, fans and other components. B&W is scheduled to deliver the boiler in late 2017 and complete installation by August 2018.
