Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. (AGC; Tokyo; www.agc.com) announced plans to increase the production capacity of the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) facility at Phu My Plastics & Chemicals Co. (PMPC), AGC’s subsidiary business in Vietnam. PMPC’s PVC production capacity will be increased by 50% to 150,000 metric tons per year (m.t./yr), which will bring AGC’s total PVC production capacity in Southeast Asia to 70,000 m.t./yr. The operation is scheduled to commence at the beginning of 2016.
