Arkema announces capacity expansion for photocure resins in China

| By Mary Bailey

Arkema (Colombes, France; www.arkema.com) has announced a project to expand production capacity of Sartomer photocure resins by over 30% at its Nansha facility in China. This new production line will help meet strong customer demand in Asia in the electronics, 3D-printing and inkjet printing markets.

The new production line at Arkema’s Nansha site, south of Canton, China, will manufacture UV, LED and EB (Electron Beam) photocure resins, and should come onstream early 2019. This new line will produce high-performance photocure resins with innovative properties, earmarked for electronics markets, where they are used for the manufacture and design of printed circuits and smartphone, tablet or television screens, as well as the 3D-printing market. These solvent-free specialty resins comply with global standards on volatile organic compound (VOC) low emissions.
