An Evaporator for Heat-Sensitive Materials

| By Chemical Engineering

This firm’s new thin-film evaporator HYVAP DZH serves the increasing demand for continuous concentration of heat-sensitive, viscous and fouling products in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food industries. This horizontal thin-film evaporator allows easy access and inspection of the interior, and controlled and reliable cleaning in place. The technology of the evaporator combines the advantages of the firm’s conventional horizontal thin-film evaporators (DKH) with the following features: cantilever rotor design; comfortable rotor extraction; absence of bearings in product space; electro-polished surfaces; sight glasses for inspection during operation; and quick connect flanges. The DZH meets current GMP requirements, and is available in sizes from 0.2 m2 (for laboratories) to 6 m2 for industrial applications. Heating can be performed with both low-pressure steam as well as hot water. — Hall 6, Booth 163 — Buss-SMS Canzler GmbH, Düren, Germany
