This alarm thermometer can be used to ensure that temperature-sensitive chemicals stored in both refrigerators and freezers do not deteriorate. Featuring tamper-resistant audible and visual alarms, the instrument comes in a two-probe model (MM125; photo) that can monitor both refrigerators and freezers simultaneously and a single-probe model (MM120). Features include: a visual display of the alarm that remains even if temperatures are no longer out of range, alerting supervisors to the need for remedial action; alarm controls on the back of the unit, making it tamper-resistant once mounted on the outside of the refrigeration unit; large LCD display of current temperatures, minimum and maximum temperatures, alarm conditions and battery levels; and an automatic scrolling display of refrigerator and freezer conditions every five seconds.
