| By Mary Bailey

Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions, the Engineering and Construction activity of Air Liquide (Paris, France; www.airliquide.com) has announced that it has been selected by BASF SE (Ludwigshafen, Germany; www.basf.com) to supply their gas-to-propylene (GTP) project with Air Liquide’s MegaMethanol and MTP (methanol-to-propylene) proprietary technologies.

Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions will be providing a license package for both technologies, including basic engineering and related services.

BASF’s proposed U.S. Gulf Coast project would represent their largest single-plant investment to date and the first propylene production based on methane. The final investment decision is expected in 2016.
